The atmosphere was flat, we got nowt to cheer other than an early goal. Probably right about the early kick off but one of the few times the SWC has been so quiet in recent times. Always a weird atmosphere with an early KO.

The op is on the wind up imo. I thought the display looked fantastic today and credit to all those involved in making it happen.

There's never any atmosphere during dance of the knights anyway. The only part in which it might have affected it was the 30 seconds when the players walked out (usually there's a bit of clapping drowned out by whatever crap music we come out to these days). Fans then had free hands to clap for the entire match.

Just seen this thread, read all the comments.
1) this is the only full stadium display planned. We promised it for Wembley and it was taken out of our hands. We weren’t going to renege on our promise. People donated for a display for 40k people. We delivered that.
2) we’re back to doing it in just the roker end. We the next step is to create a red and white wall. We have all the designs ready to go to send to the printers. If I wake up tomorrow and see 2k in the account, I’ll be ordering 120 wavers to turn the whole thing red and white. If that sounds like something you’d like to see, you can donate here -
2) I agree the atmosphere throughout the game could’ve been better. Whether that was due to the display or other factors, it remains to be seen.
3) “let the atmosphere do the talking”. The best atmospheres in recent memory are Sheff Wed - display

Everton - was keeping us up.
4) we’ve only been in existence for a couple of months and we pulled off today. We’re still learning, but I like to think we’re spending peoples money wisely. We have 3 banners and the biggest surfer the SOL has ever seen which can be used and used again.

I think the point is how do you integrate it better? People standing holding placards for 5 minutes while dance of the knights was played repeatedly isn't the answer. The SO37 did an unquestionably great job with the visuals but it also the audible that needs to be choreographed. I'm sure there are ways to orchestrate both in tandem so let them get involved. Its one and the same about building an atmosphere, come on lads @Doberman @DonaldDownTheWing could be worked out. The noise is as compelling as the visuals.

We don’t control how long the music is played for. Possibly in future we’ll ask for the display to go up at the start of Ready To Go. I’ve never known DOTK go on for that long.

The only issue I have is it is so much fart for very little smell. The result never usually matches the display. So many bits of red and white card held in the air for ages for what was ultimately a 1-1 draw.

I personally really enjoy them. The people who organise them have a lot of pride in our club and it looks immense. I hope they happen more often just to upset the grumpy people.

Luke O’Nien said to us on the pitch that the players notice them and it gives them an extra 5%.
Today, 5% may have been the difference between holding on for a draw and losing.
Against Sheff Wed, it may have been the difference between us winning or drawing at home.

That was clearly not in your control, but I think the noise could be influenced by you. I'm not suggesting palace ultra shite but something around the singing could be done. IMO it would produce a better atmosphere all round. I don't profess to know the answer but have a few ideas.

Yeh I noticed it went on for ages. Is it just cos waiting till sky told the teams they could run out as adverts were on tv?
I thought the display and the Huge ship badge in south stand was amazing.
Sat in north stand looked great. Couldn’t see from my seat what the image on the cards was showing in east stand.

Please share them mate. We aren’t a “we’re in charge of everything” group at all. Our sole aim is to improve the atmosphere, regardless of where that comes from.
We’re willing to put the time in to turn ideas into reality, but they don’t have to be our ideas!

The display was absolutely terrific mate. Myself and everyone around me were loving it. Loads were recording it on their phones and the general conversation was that of pride.
Keep up the good work. don’t let a grumpy minority get in the way of future displays.

Thought the whole thing was class.. but being in the SEC its probably the worst place to get any sort of good view of it all
Slight criticism on the ship.. was a little bit unclear but just a minor quibble.
It didn't take away from the atmosphere at all. If anything it lifted it as Noon kick offs is an absolutely horrendous kick off time so was pleasantly surprised.
