In general I think the standard of English players is dropping across the league.

Don't think that works with the National team doing better recently, though.

Just spotted on the BBC match preview today that we are the only PL team so far this season without an English goalscorer. Given this is unlikely to change, quite interesting as unlikely ever to have happened before in our history.

I'm not remotely bothered about this BTW, more than happy with our multi-national brigade, just an interesting side note on our amazing season.

Slightly off topic but I bet Ballard has slight regrets about choosing NI, he’d be going to the World Cup with England this summer imo.

Idk, think playing internationally with NI for this long has helped Ballard get adjusted to this level.
