No cash turnstiles tomorrow night...

I gave my season ticket up a couple of years ago. However, I've still been to literally all home games and about half a dozen away games each season since. I've missed the last few games courtesy of a broken leg. I was actually going to attempt tonights game, however, the club have made the decision of my non attendance for me by not having any turnstiles on. When will people at this club ever start to respect the commitment of the support. Let the mags in and get the ***** locked up if they start, simples.

Maybe I am missing something and if I am excuse my naivety.

But what the fuck is going on and what kind of customer service is this!!!

Stadium half full but if people want to turn up or just decide to take their son to the game during today, they cant just go and pay and get in.

They have to go somewhere else first and possibly wait in a long queue and then possibly not even get a ticket!!! as no purchase history

Any club not having cash turnstiles on when they actually want fans to come and watch their team just confuses me greatly and just shows what crap customer service a club is offering

The clubs absolutely fucked in its current form. Clueless.

stupid decision , school hols and people may just want to turn up , this mags stuff is utter bollocks

Absolutely this. Nufc fans will NOT be going to any of your home game this season. Despite all the 'Mag at work' stories it just won't happen. If someone was stupid enough they would be outed after 5 minutes (or whenever you concede ;)) and rightly get brayed all over.

"The Black Cats are worried about Magpies fans – and others – pitching up at their three remaining home games this season"

Why on earth would any other fans want to come to see us relegated?

Edit: just realised it means Wolves fans on the last day.

There is nowt like football mind!!!

Sunderland football club who are in free fall telling paying customers they can't pay on the door and they have to come early to queue for ages to pay £25 quid to watch shit football, and even then might not get a ticket.

What a marketing policy!!!

On the other hand you could have supporters from another club travelling and paying £25 quid just to watch another team they have nothing to do with ,and why because they fancy just taking a game in? ,No because they want to watch a team lose and get relegated so they can gloat.

Almost as bad as paying for a plane to fly across someone else's ground!!!

It could only happen in football fuck me!!!

Ridiculous decision. Why no cash turnstiles and only allowing people with a purchase history to buy tickets for Norwich on a Tuesday night

If it's for fear of mags turning up then that is even more of a bizarre decision. Firstly we've got a pretty good chance of winning so why would they want to spend a Tuesday night watching a probable Sunderland win and secondly even in a worst case scenario of results we couldn't be relegated tonight anyway.

I don't understand what the mags would gain by coming.

It's not like they would then gloat at their seats once their in.

Apart from those who only find out at short notice they’re available to go to the match, why is no cash turnstiles as bad as being made out? I know it isn’t ideal as it’s one less way for people to get in, but why can’t people just phone up or go online to buy one a few days in advance and have it posted out to you or collect it from the ticket office? It’s not as if matches are sprung up out of nowhere at the last minute and you must surely have decided whether you’re going to bother a few days before the match takes place.

I’m a season card holder so maybe I’m missing something but apart from what I said at the start of the post I’m genuinely interested why it’s so bad to the point people are saying it’s a joke and makes them unable to go?
