Nilson Angulo

There is a difference between been quick and having quick feet and looking quick angulos like over 6 ft to watch he’s never gonna look as quick as someone a lot smaller like ta bi
People with shorter legs are known to run faster than those with long legs.

But those with longer legs will cover more ground with fewer strides.

I think the club’s owners might be getting a bit of a wake up call around how much needs t be invested into a squad. We’ve got some brilliant value for money deals over the line such as Roefs but it’s a hard business. The amount of money we’ve spent on our wingers on a player by player basis isn’t enough to get us to next level players. More concerningly perhaps is the total spend on wide players and the returns we’ve got from them. The Fulham wingers cost a lot more and that will likely need to be the level of spend we have to turn to at some future point if progression is the goal. I’m not sure how much money there is in the pot if we use it on expensive signings.

A big summer ahead !

Have we signed half a team of not so expensive duds?

Not sure how accurate or how serious we should take this:

Same clowns on here were slating Talbi in pre season and first few games. Give him time I’m not saying he’s been amazing but silly writing him off

This mag sounds massively maggish

All we need is one of these wingers to come very good and make a good return on them. I think Nilson needs a good weight training program and time to adapt to the pace of the PL. And obviously the club will have this underway.

Why are you bothered about Safc?

Well he’s scored a few goals unlike most of wingers, traore has experience and the others need time but he’d start over all them for me

The issue I've got so far is he was described as being very quick, but I haven't seen that so far. He looks pretty one-paced at the minute, haven't seen any explosive speed or acceleration.

I can see Ta Bi's pace and dribbling, and what type of player we've gone for there. Yes he's absolutely raw as hell and did some very schoolboy things at times, but I can see the outline of why they've bought him.

I can see other things in Angulo mind, he looks like he'll graft and he's not afraid of a bit of physicality I don't think. And he looks decent in possession. But he's much slower than I expected, so far.
Eh? There were a few instances on saturday were he chased the man down after being a few yards behind him,to knock the ball out of play( to stop an attack).

Remember at the start of this season Brobbey was written off after 20 mins coming on as a sub, Talbi was slated after his first few games, Traore was a boo boy for at least his first 6 apperences and now folk can't wait to have him back, Diara has a thread about him being not good enough that went up on Sunday.

I reckon there's some utter pellets on this forum from the evidence.
I would imagine we would have written off 90% of all premier league players in their first few games.

From his 1st appearance to Fulham game his fitness seems to have jumped a few levels. I can see him becoming a good player for us but not sure how long it will take. Massive risk relying on young foreigners to deliver as soon as they arrive though
