Nilson Angulo

I was personally under the impression that we weren't going to see Jocelin until next season, and Angulo used probably off the bench a lot of this season. That's what Brighton, Bournemouth, and Brentford do so well - sign a lad from Brazil you don't see for a season or too, to the point you've forgotten they're there, but when they come in they're ready.

Takes times for these players to get up to speed and learn the game in this country, we're incredibly physical too - which nobody is properly used to. When we were last in the PL we used to chuck people in because we have to, they'd be a bit shite an dthen they'd be written off - was hoping we'd moved on from that.
That’s what my taking would’ve been on it too. Just wonder if Traore has took longer than expected or the opportunity to shift Adingra came and too good to turn down hence being slightly short.

Feel the fans are being hyper critical at the minute, expectations have been raised. Context is always key for me Fulham brought Bobb on who cost more than all of our wingers combined practically. We are just beginning to get a foothold back in this league and need to be in it any which way to make strides forward next season. The club will know this and we must have plans in place to improve summer by summer.

We’ve gone from 5-4-1 to 4-5-1 and become easier to play against- fans said it was boring watching us draw nil nil away with 5 at the back, we now look
Weak at the back and create fuck all so I’d be going back to a 5 and reducing the need for the wingers until they are up to speed

RLB made some very strange selection calls lately and that ones a bit baffling to me. He's a good grafter and he has a goal in him. Scored a screamer against Burnley a couple weeks back... not even getting on the pitch now. Doesn't make sense.
Completely baffled as to why Talbi isn’t starting personally, chips in with important goals and getting better every time I see him, yes he has a mistake in him but which young payers don’t. The 2 new lads need time and throwing them both in with Talbi on bench was very strange decision

Something must have happened for him to go from starting games to not even getting on the pitch. RLB even put Mayenda on the right ahead of him. Doesn't make sense.

RLB is funny like that though, Mayenda went through a period where he couldn't get on the pitch at all. Rigg is currently not getting any sort minutes despite featuring a bit early on. Geertruida was an obvious switch in Xhakas absense and was sat on the bench. Just bizarre imo.

The issue I've got so far is he was described as being very quick, but I haven't seen that so far. He looks pretty one-paced at the minute, haven't seen any explosive speed or acceleration.

I can see Ta Bi's pace and dribbling, and what type of player we've gone for there. Yes he's absolutely raw as hell and did some very schoolboy things at times, but I can see the outline of why they've bought him.

I can see other things in Angulo mind, he looks like he'll graft and he's not afraid of a bit of physicality I don't think. And he looks decent in possession. But he's much slower than I expected, so far.

There is a difference between been quick and having quick feet and looking quick angulos like over 6 ft to watch he’s never gonna look as quick as someone a lot smaller like ta bi

Remember at the start of this season Brobbey was written off after 20 mins coming on as a sub, Talbi was slated after his first few games, Traore was a boo boy for at least his first 6 apperences and now folk can't wait to have him back, Diara has a thread about him being not good enough that went up on Sunday.

I reckon there's some utter pellets on this forum from the evidence.
I genuinely believe some "fans" just want to be proved right. They would rather slate a player, and if they got in there early they could say that they seen it coming. If then player turns out good then they are 'glad he proved them wrong'

Its a weird take and I will never understand it. After the last 10 years we have had, how people arent just enjoying the success is beyond me.

Zero loyalty shown to the players will simply return zero loyalty when other clubs come swooping for the better ones

Very early days, but looks a real player to me. Very positive in his role. He needs games and get up to speed with the pace and physicality of the division. There was at least one reassuring burst of real pace from him against Fulham too. He’ll be ok, this kid.

There will be an interesting team selection for Bournemouth after the Fulham game threw up a few issues. RLB has training to sort out the defence, the midfield 3 or 4, and the wingers

That would be my view, l honestly thought he looked exciting and did quite well. Should have scored but that happens. I would still start Talbi though.

Everyone focusing on the missed chance and the wingers what about us letting 3 goals in ?

Our defence looked so good because of all the protection it got from our midfield trio and wingers. I've said for a long time that people that were singling out our wingers as not being good enough were being unfair on them. Sunday proved again that when the game opens up and our defence have no protection, they aren't elite level defenders.

Our system has been making them look better than they actually are, and making our wingers and striker look worse than they actually are (especially if you are just going to judge a winger based off goals / assists).

Jack Clarke mark 2 … it was bizarre that fans couldn’t see the potential in him when he first arrived.

Angulo made 2 big fuck ups but I was impressed by his work rate and desire. He looks to go at his man all of the time
I'm not knocking the positivity, but when wingers lose the ball, at pace, trying to beat their man it can open us up to dangerous counter-attacks. The Premier League is brutal. I think this where experience comes in.

He’s a couple of games in…I see green shoots
