I'm a medium format user, but i'm looking at getting a autofocus 35mm.
I think i've decided on the Nikon d810 but don't know what lenses to get.
Its going to be a second camera but must be good enough to step up when the light is poor and my focusing ability has gone to pot on the manual medium format!
Are prime lenses still the best way to go with 35mms?
Say a 50 and 85. or should I just get a 24-70 and 105?
Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers.

Depends whether you prefer zooms or primes and what you shoot I guess.

The 24-70 2.8 is a great lens but personally I'd go for a 35/85 combo. Both of the 1.8Gs are excellent.

If you need the extra resolution the D810 is the way to go, but if not, you could look at the D750.

Thanks.
I've decided to go 50,85 and 105.
I shoot mostly fashion and beauty so don't really need the wide angle.
I've never used to wide angle I bought for my blad in nearly 10 years!
The 1.8gs seem the way to go. Cheers.

got any stuff recently for us to look at, Jonny? Your work was always great.

Dunno if Nikon have a 135mm but the Canon 135mm is superb
