Niall Huggins.

25 year old and only got 19 appearances (816mins or so, equivalent to 9 full games) on loan at Wycombe in league 1. I think release as no guarantee someone would buy him for it to be worthwhile

Given he's not exactly been first name on the team sheet at Wycombe I don't think he'll be getting another year here.

I think he’s out of contract end of season?

Sadly it looks like his injuries have got the better of him. When fit he was one of the best full backs in the championship, but not being a regular starter in the league below for Wycombe isn’t a good sign.

Only way we renew is if he’s still injured and then we might look after him by extending. If he’s fit enough to play we will release him. Getting games is his only hope of salvaging a decent career as a player.

Yeah, perhaps his ACL has seriously impacted him as he should have strolled into a league 1 team.

Feel for players like him and Alese. Both clearly talented and could have gone on to play at a good level if it weren’t for injuries.

Always hope though ... Look at Ross Stewart banging goals in for Southampton and in the playoffs. Poss another Wembley for him.
