Niall Huggins.

Across all levels of football, I think players with a good first touch, quick feet, tricky and skillful types tend to get injured more. There seems to be an acceptance amongst more basic players, that it’s ok to attempt to injure these players as they somehow ‘deserve it’. It’s like a punishment for being skillful.

Looks like he should get a good run of games as their first choice RB is out for a while. Views from Wycombe are that he’s a tidy player with good feet, but lightweight and injury prone.

At least he should double his career appearances this season!

He had a few good appearances for us, but I always said despite him being quick and able to break lines at a time we had little pace or forward quality under Mowbray, as a defender he was physically weak and not great. He probably just didn't play often enough for people to see it, given at the time he was useful to us going forward.

I thought he was really good going forward but as you say, weak defending and would be bullied at this level.

It’s not really funny though is it. He’s clearly a talented player but his career is going down the pan because of his body.

The poor lad must be gutted.
I’m also gutted as my body prevented me from a long and lucrative career in the PL. Mainly my pot belly and pigeon toes.

Good luck to the lad. He was playing some cracking stuff before he got injured for us, it was a real shame after battling back to fitness. Wish him all the best.

The bar has been raised this season. The club haven't kept anyone around for the sake of it, Huggins will be no exception.
