He'll finish up a PE teacher or something like thatTherein lies the problem.
Shame. He'll finish up a PE teacher or something like that
He won't be on much.hopefully can sell him in January and free up some wages.
No room for sentiment if we want to progress.
Better off going towards someone who is going to contribute though. He won't be on much.
He’s finishedit’s easy to be a **** about him after the fact. He came back from one very serious injury, had a run of games and proved to be one of our best fullbacks, before getting another very serious injury. He was absolutely talented enough to make it in the prem before the injury, and you couldn’t possibly have known he was ruined now by the latest injury.
It’s a real shame for the lad and I’ll never understand why some of our fans need to write players off so early just that they can get an ‘I told you so’ in if they’re right. How about supporting them instead maybe?
I agree.hopefully can sell him in January and free up some wages.

If he can come back to what he was before injury he could be a mid table prem player imho. There's a good potential championship player there if he can stay fit.
Sorry. I don’t often call out posters here, if ever. But that’s uncalled for. The lad has had tremendous bad luck and when he was fit and had a run of games he was really good.Hurt himself picking up his wages slip.
Was looking really good before his injury. Was never, ever as good as people made him out to be.
Shame for him how his career has panned out though, wouldn't wish it on anyone.
There’s a contingent of posters who like nothing better than to gleefully stick the boot into players who have had serious, career threatening injury problems through no fault of their own, and even though when they have been fit they’ve put 100% effort and contributed (Huggins, Cirkin, Alese)Sorry. I don’t often call out posters here, if ever. But that’s uncalled for. The lad has had tremendous bad luck and when he was fit and had a run of games he was really good.
As a slight aside, my sister is friends with his family – his mam was a teaching assistant at my niece and nephew’s school in York – and she says he’s the loveliest lad and the family are great too.
It’s not about the money or the fame for him. You can tell that. He just loves playing football. A real shame that he’s had these setbacks. Whatever the future holds for him, I wish him all the luck.
Yup, I think it’s very weird. Can only think that something is probably missing somewhere in their own lives. There’s a contingent of posters who like nothing better than to gleefully stick the boot into players who have had serious, career threatening injury problems through no fault of their own, and even though when they have been fit they’ve put 100% effort and contributed (Huggins, Cirkin, Alese)
I’ve always found it pretty weird, bet there’s a fair few who are incapable of running round the block too
