That was my point it was a shit strip. It caused uproar amongst the supporters and it was just another disconnection between the club and the supporters at the time. Going back to that would just sum up the current state of the club.

To be fair since the move to the Stadium of Light, there is not one strip i would say i have disliked even the lonsdale strip. Didnt like the black or green away strips but that was just that colour of those two.

didn't think it was that bad myself but I was only a nipper. Would swap the shirt, the football, the team, the fans and the stadium for it right now.

Thought the last Nike one, the Lonsdale and the 2nd or 3rd Umbro ones were gash. To be fair ther's only so much you can do with R&W stripes

What's the bets that it is a slimmer fitted, red and white version of that Adidas strip that the mags had in the Keegan era? The one with the crew neck and thinner stripes with the shield on the back?
