Okay...maybe you and I would not have buried that header lets be honest. Really 50/50... but gurantee a Premier Leaguer 9 out 10 would have and including Ji and Altidore here...one not being Wickham.
 
Not to bad a first half, Newcastle had the early pressure as expected, but we kept it tight, hopefully we can do it again in the second half and at the right moment Gus can bring on our WMD (Altidore) and stun the mags with an injury time goal.
 
I'm sick and tired of seeing Gomez dilly dally on the ball. Hes in the middle of the park and instead of breaking into the gap between the midfield and back four he just moves slowly side to side, slowing the game down and making a simple pass backwards. We're screaming out for a midfielder with purpose. I look at the Perez and wish we had someone with his mentality, get and go, its had our back two at 6s and 7s.

I reckon Alvarez could make a real difference for us in this.

Its criminal that Wickham missed that chance at the back stick, keeper was all over the place, would have ruined his afternoon.

This game is there to be won, we just don't have the quality.

THIS , worries me that they have got to halftime level , expect em to come out firing again like they did at the start. We definately have more class in MF with AJ and seb tho , need to stick one in the net quick tho. First goal wins it.
 
We are toothless out wide. Gomez slows the play down too much and then plays a square or backwards pass. Only Seb has looked to play penetrating passes. Played below average and still could have been 2 up.

Their pace concerns me against Vergini and O'Shea.
