Isn't that what we all do though,, we get excited and rightfully so.. It would be rather dull if we didn't.
For what its worth, I wouldn't think we would do a Man City or Chelsea, I would hope to follow the Spurs path, build over time. They are capable of spending but spend wisely.
As it happens this could prove to be a bad move for one player I really want to see develop, that is Longstaff, that boy has huge potential and if we did do a Football Manager cheat code Longstaff would be pushed out.
I would imagine every Newcastle fan will be getting a tingle in his dingle at the moment but that's to be expected. If it turned out this new guy just wants to run a sensible football club but is prepared to put his own money in for a few marquee signings but mainly to develop the club and have it run off it's own income over time (Ashley) that's fine with me.
Our academy is starting to bare fruit, so we have some talent who may break through anyway, even without this sheikh.
