If they’re owned by a billionaire and are selling out every week then they will buy a new ground in the future if they have to.

Also plastic fans can still attend a few times a year and even that would mean they wouldn’t be coming to watch us (which is more important).

It’s all hypothetical at the moment obviously, but Jesus Christ it isn’t good is it! We have owners who despite their good intentions are never going to be able to lift up out the leagues quickly. We’ve faltered at the first hurdle and the fanbase is inevitably falling off next season. All while those ***** could genuinely be winning the football lottery.
When have we ever drew "proper plastic" fans? We could still be in the premier League and if the mags end up like you describe the same thing would happen .

Please God be true.

It's absolutely bizarre.

Everyone's been prattling on about it as if it were a done deal all day, with 'off the record' chats with both the blokes representatives and NUFC officials providing updates.

Then he pops up with bits of info we already knew:
He may or may not be a direct relation of the Man City owners
They weren't able to show they could afford Liverpool or even make the initial deposit so the Liverpool owners pissed off

The new bit appears to be the fact that no paperwork has actually been lodged with the league, contradicting the earlier reports.

None of this means it won't take place, but it's bloody bizarre.

Please be true. Something like the ‘rick parkinson’ textile magnate takeover of a few years ago would cheer me right up after this weekend like.
He’s a mate of mine Richie Parker well known in the pub trade. He had a mate in the media who helped set it all up it was epic haha

While Bin Zayed Group’s Midhat Kidwai says in his statement they’ve agreed to meet the price and are working hard to complete the transaction, we understand NUFC are yet to see proof of funds to meet the £350m asking price.

Sure the same happened at Liverpool and they called them timewasters.

Shows how knee jerk some of these posters were .... thinking they were going to do a Man City. Besides Bill Gates could buy them and it still probably wouldn’t get them into the top 6.

Their fans are biting like fuck at any Sunderland fan suggestion that the deal may not go though on twitter
