I would genuinely relocate
 
Even if it was 'just' like an Everton or Leicester type takeover, where they didn't have a bottom 6 budget, relegation was never a serious issue, they could constantly buy decent players, realistically target the cups, consistently beat lesser sides convincingly, and if a big 6 side were to have a poor season, potentially sneak in and get back into Europe - I'd prefer them to be how they are now personally.
 
Everyone's pissing themselves over this. So fuck let them get on with it. What's a new owner going to do, transport them back to 1996?

It’s to distract from any spending and let Rafa’s contract run down.

Basically an excuse for them to do as little as possible. As usual.

Every window it happens, just that this one includes the manager’s contract running out and season ticket renewal time.

The worrying bit is that, if it's true, by the time we get back to the Premier League, they'd likely be long into this new guys tenure and have a team capable of absolutely destroying us in our first season back

I’m not so sure. A bloke from the Middle East with a pot of gold would be Mike Ashley’s dream I would have thought. He bought the club to sell it again, if there is a profit to be had he’ll take it
