Used to spend all day going in all the record shops back in the day ...Virgin,Callers,Windows, HMV, Listen Ear/Volume,Old Hitz,Pet Sounds and even the stores had decent selections ie John Menzies,WH Smith,Woolies,Boots etc.

What was the hi fi shop called in Handyside? It used to sell loads of different versions of TDK cassettes like chrome dioxide, metal etc as if it made a difference:D

My mate showed me a picture taken around 85 and I can honestly say I was shocked it was an absolute mess, but I can't ever remember it being like that it was like a scene from the 30s

Pardew certainly had better players than Benitez' has had. McLaren had two players who're just about to appear in the Champions League final. Benitez is hardly a yes man, and his sides don't play turgid football.

Down to ashley really, every man and his dogs sees that Benitez is the best manager that Newcastle can get in their current state. Aside from a weird group of Sunderland fans who put their partisan blinders on before their socks.
