Sunderland fans hated his Geordie roots. Newcastle fans hate his claims of Geordie roots.

I was born closer to Newcastle than him. As was a bloke who we have a Statue of outside the SOL.
 
Hes hopeless. i just love it though that the plank has exactly the same PPG as Rafa while one apparently is utterly hopeless yet the other was a tactical genius who could do no wrong.

I just can't get my head round that - it's totally bizarre.

It's a great subject to raise with the deluded twats if you want to wind the fuckers up!
 
Also, it's embarrassing watching his mates in the media throw him soft ball questions.
 
ASM - Only 23 and already at his 6th team. To move to the next strata in football you have to be incredible (is he?) or get a lucky move to a team who panic buy like Utd, Juve or more recently Barca. He would have been known by all top clubs since representing France U16's and all would have been aware of his availability pre move to that lot. if any top side fancied him then he would have been worth a punt for 16m. For me, he stands out due to his looks and attacking play in a very mediocre side. COVID has got Bruce out of jail as if he was serving that tripe up to a full stadium the atmosphere would be toxic.
