Newcastle Manager Situation

It's a shame there isn't an all-encompassing thread on our managerial situation. Someone should look into that.
Shame there isn't a mag board for you to inhabit and spew shite on

He won cups at both Napoli and Chelsea. Having said that im not sure he's the right appointment at this time.
He spent a lot at Napoli & took them backwards in the league & out of the CL, they'd won the cup the season before he's arrived to so it wasn't seen as a massive achievement.

He'd give the place a massive boost though & probably give them enough to stop up.

Benitez and used to dealing with top rank players. However top ranked he is believed to be, any manager going in there is facing a struggle. 1st choice keeper and left back out. No recognised goalscorer. A defence which seems a shambles. Players who don't seem to give two hoots. Give me Sam and our squad of players for the last 9 any day.

We've got to ignore the inevitable media frenzy that will follow Benitez appointment. Yes merely sacking McClaren will give them a boost but let's not lose sight of the fact they've still got the same players, are below us in the league and will have appointed a manager with no experience of a premier league relegation scrap.
I've no doubt Benitez, given time and a boat load of cash will improve them , but has he got what it takes to fight and claw their way out of trouble in ten games?

To be fair though that's isn't that difficult a feat.

I think half the idiots on this board could win something with Chelsea. Not sure about Napoli as don't take any notice of Italian footy but they are a pretty big team too arn't they?

Dinar i was just correcting the OP in terms of facts (being an arse really ). Im not worried about Benitez though.

Aye, i was just correcting the facts of the OP. Dinar owt about his work at Napoli to be honest. If we go down then its on us.
