It's a huge game regardless of the context tbh. Looking at the league it could quite easily be 'loser goes down'.

Needless to say I expect to lose it again. Appointing Benitez, IF it happens, isn't a magic wand and the problems that are running through the club won't instantly heal up and disappear because the manager has changed. That said, I'd be a lot more confident with Benitez in the dugout as opposed to McClaren.

I've got stick for it but will say it again. I reckon that Southampton equaliser will kill us come May.

Don't think it's possible to pin anything down to a single goal/moment over the course of the season. It was 2 points thrown away but I'm sure there will have been times where you won points very late on too which cancel themselves out too? Palace H, Liverpool A?

The season runs for 38 games and the 3 worst teams will drop down and they'll all deserve it. We've been kicked in the knackers late on too but also come from behind to win late at Spurs. It happens.

Aye, we've won 6 points off teams that have had wrongful dismissals. Swings and swings for us this season, no roundabouts, should probably be below Villa

Everton (H) winning it late on over New Year was a kick in the balls, getting battered down at Bournemouth but winning was a huge relief, Spurs (A) was huge and very unexpected, losing 3 times to Watford in 4 months was piss-boiling, coming from 2 behind to snatch a draw with Man U (H) felt like a win and I could go on.

It is what it is and it's the reason we all still watch the sport. I often hate the sport but I still watch it all the time.
 
Seeing some contradictions in the press, Benitez wants Newcastle job as he wants a project for the long run...but will leave if we're down?

Why would he sign then as it's more than likely you'll go down, saying that mind Dick signed with us with about the same number of games to go so anything can happen
