couldn't think of a worse manager?........you would be gutted if sundlund got him as manager?......pamper up 1,he's a good manager,2,there's not a cat in hells chance he would ever consider managing little sundland man :lol::lol:

I'd be happy to have him if we were in the top 10 ......... in a relegation battle I'd rather have di Canio back.

Benitez will happen. Acid test is this 10 games. Have my doubts but think, given their position, it's a good appointment unfortunately. Hopefully he bombs like fuck.

After I drop my lad off at cricket nets on Friday I am going to go to his house with a loud hailer and tell him he must be mad...and that the M62 is a nightmare! Even if he keeps them up, then next season the pressure will be on to win a cup and challenge for Europe. Once he starts setting very defensive teams up, getting draws and nicking wins he will be lambasted and driven out. But then again I am a realist. To be a top manager you need thick skin and a big ego so he may just take it.

Well, what else could it be

Seriously, I'd love to see Benitez scrapping it our on the touchline with Championship managers like McCarthy ;)

I think people are underestimating our improved performances.

I know we haven't got the points we probably deserved but we're keeping the points ticking over.

The last 6 games we have had Man City, Man U & Palace at home with Liverpool, West Ham & Southampton.
That is a pretty tough run of fixtures and we are all dissappointed with 6 points because we have played well.

Think our defence has improved lately and with a striker like Defoe we're always likely to score.

Add to that Borini finding his feet finally

I'm not too bothered. My immediate concern is that they get possed off Leicester. Ruin their already bad goal difference, and have them crapping themselves before the derby. A draw would be a good result for us then.

Just saying, if they get over this, think he will be an excellent appointment for next few year. That's IF they get over it. I am obviously hoping that they don't and it's an absolute nightmare

its possible.... but likely?

The appointment?

I would say very likely to nearly done.

Meeting with officials this afternoon

Do you think? Does he really need 'saved Newcastle from relegation' on his CV? Or conversely 'relegated with Newcastle'...?

If it does can't see it being anything other than til the end of the season in case it does go tits up & they get relegated.
