Newcastle Manager Situation

Makes sense....

Rivalry aside. Do you want to sack a manager who knows the squad before they play Sunderland and Norwich or do you gamble and bring someone in who doesn't have a clue about any of the playing staff before you play your relegation rivals?

Should they go down, they will have a manager that knows the championship.

It really boils my piss as a Sunderland fan but at times like this I wish the fuck we had won just two more games over the season.

The completely faff rumour I'd heard was they'd offered £1m to Benitez to keep us up, then £3.5m a year if we do.

Firstly
1) Why would he?
2) Doesn't need the money
3) Doesn't solve the issue being the club structure (I.e your improvement after Congerton went and the manager dealt with transfers
4) What experience has Benitez got of relegation? A crisis to him is choosing between Bale and Ronaldo, not Gouffran And Colback

Wasn't it always said that Ashley and Charnley would be meeting to discuss McClaren's future later in the week, after the fall out from the weekend had died down?

So has he decided yet?

Could be given a stay of execution, and Ashley leaving decision to the board, well Charnley and Carr chased him as manager and Maclaren isn't going to vote himself out, please, please, please #savetufty

Boooooooooo

Exclusive: NUFC board meet in York WITHOUT head coach Steve McClaren. Feeling is he will now be sacked. More to follow @MailSport

Your lot make up a lot of rumours to try and appease your delusions of what a massive club you are (Wayne Rooney to Newcastle posted by Sports Direct anyone) so Benitez is absolutely utter bollocks.

Not saying your the same like but it's a common thing in your lot.

This should be an absolute no brainer for them.

He's clearly now not going to be the man long term and he's not doing the business at all now.

So they've absolutely nothing to lose by bringing in someone else, the couple of wins a new manager bounce often provides would in all likelihood save them.

Let's just hope for some inexplicable reason they stick with him.

Ashley might stick with him...what if they buy out his contract, sign another manager to a contract and they still go down? More money out the window... We got away with it but we didn't spend £80 million on players...just a hopeful thought.
