" The Geordie nation are a different breed to your normal fan- arriving in their droves, their good natured banter and salt of the earth knowledge of all things football makes them a popular set of away fans, taking over each city with songs, romancing the local women and cheering on their heroes as the likes of Jackie Milburn, Sir Bobby Robson and Hughie Gallagher's ghosts look down proudly.
With Mitro set to net 25+ and Europe on the cards, Benitez gives a tearful thumbs up to the giant apparitions in the sky"

This is correct, I know it sounds like small minded bollocks from us but I have yet to speak to another football fan that has anything good to say about them.

I have. Living down south I hear loads of good things said about the Mags. "Spunkerchiefed wank sock suckers" was my personal favourite from a Leyton Orient fan a few years back.

Told this story before but in line with the theme of what other clubs think of them.

Chelsea away, the Don Hutchinson 2-4 game in 2001. Was with me mate, walked into a pub, one of those where when a stranger walks in everyone stops talking and stares. We looked at each other and without speaking knew what we were thinking, head for the loo.
We decided we'd look soft if we just walked out so went to the bar to order drinks. This git big bloke asked us to sing a song and telepathically we both started singing Shearer is a wanker. The git big bloke laughed and said ha ha you hate them as well, that's good enough, those drinks are on me. We never bought another drink yet.
I know, made up, shite, etc, but it really is a true story :)

Most Newcastle fans I know utterly cringe over stuff like this and how they are perceived due to the actions of a few melts that like living up to the 'Lordy geordie' stereotype.
