A couple of clarifications needed here. The Burnley Cup game wasn’t Ian Watson’s only appearance. He also appeared against Millwall the following game, and played well in a 1-0 win.
The Mercantile Credit Classic was a snooker tournament. What we played in was the Mercantile Credit Centenary tournament.
I realise that these are utterly pointless clarifications, but @mad cyril posted that you won’t find a more knowledgeable poster on here than @rentaghost and there’s no way I’m letting that go unchallenged
