Forest have won 2 European Cups which nobody can ever take away from them, a superb achievement, you can’t however be classed as a big club when you havnt played top Flight football for 20 years.
Similar to Leeds, although if when / they go up, and I hope they do, a sustained period in the premier league will put them bigger than us again.

Ah, so you're putting recent top flight timescales in to further your claim (which funnily enough go in your favour)? Anything else - proximity to the Angel of the North? The amount of grown men on the pavement outside an Italian restaurant? Most badly-spelled bedsheet daubings?

Mags are a massive club relegated twice from the premier League in the last few seasons and won nowt for decades

This lad claiming their "European record" (whatever that is) and not playing in the third tier renders them bigger than us but, when I name two clubs who have had actual European success as well as playing in the third tier, he thinks of something else that would suit.

Sadly your recall is wrong Bruce 10th place was 18 points ahead of relegation. In context it has taken 7 years and a drop to the Third Division for any Sunderland manager to improve such achievements of a journeyman manager
Well it took a World class manager to get you relegated and then to tenth. I'm sure even Mrs Doubtfire could have managed that

All this off the back of a flukey win against Watford, their first win since about May

Keane had it absolutely spot on. There are no fans as self entitled, arrogant or pathetic as mags.

And most if not all nufc fans are miserable as fuck and haven't enjoyed it at all despite being a premier League team

Whilst us safc fans even though are in league 1 are enjoying this season immensely
as the lower leagues are more competitive, so more entertaining for the average clubs fans. club owners love the premier league in most cases, for obvious reasons.

David Coverdale's match report on Sunday about the mags v Watford was top class.

He started by saying that all last week benitez had went back to reading all his old notes of previous games in management from years and years ago as he was trying to do everything he could to turn the mags fortunes around and get that elusive first win

And coverdale then went on to say " which worked a treat as Newcastle won their first game of the season "

I must admit I nearly pissed mesel laughing as surely the mags win had more to do with Watford missing about 4 sitters than it had to do with benitez spending all week reading years and years of notes and getting his team to implement his tactics :lol::lol::lol:

Well that depends what you infer by bigger. They are certainly the most hyped club never to win anything for over 50 years. I suppose if you believe the hype it's a foregone conclusion. However if you explore the facts …

You're comparing teams who regularly win things to two teams who don't it's a silly argument. Historically their is little between us and them. I think we are bigger because we have more titles. A Newcastle fan would say they are bigger because they have more FA cup wins. The argument then would be can you compare FA cup wins to title wins. I don't think you can. All the rest is bullshit and hype, they certainly win that one.:lol::lol::lol:

We have a population of 60 odd million. You wont find one person outside of our own fan base that would say we were bigger than them.

You spoken to all of them? I don't understand this argument that a club who has achieved so little is lauded so much. They are like us also rans in terms of recent achievements. Big club my Aunt Fannie's arse.

Saying they are bigger than us isn't really lauding them  I mean don't get me wrong if I have to fight our corner out of blind loyalty I would be using our top flight wins from 120 years ago when there were 14 professional clubs to argue how big we are compared to them. However deep down I would know I was talking shite.

You're a strange one. After making a statement like 60 million people would say Newcastle are bigger than Sunderland you think I'm going to take you seriously? Always thought you were a gravy boy. You've just confirmed my suspicions.:lol:
