They've got 30 games and need to win around 12 imo, they've got........

Liverpool a
Chelsea a
Arsenal a
Spurs. a
Man city h
Man utd. h
Liverpool h

So that leaves 23 games against the so called lesser clubs . Fwiw I still think they will stay up
IF they stay up it’ll only be because 3 teams finish with less than 30 points imo

Their biggest issue is everyone else will spend in January to try and stay up whilst they won’t

Just had a look at the table, not great reading for them but they've got an absolutely huge couple of months coming. Before end of November they've got:
Brighton (h)
Southampton (a)
Watford (h)
Bournemouth (h)
Burnley (a)

In theory they're all games that you'd try and target 3 points from. If they're still in the bottom 3 after that run of fixtures then they'll likely go down unless they get big investment in January. I think they'll pick a few points up from those fixtures though, still be a long old season for them mind

Was it Rafa who bought Matt Ritchie ? What an awful player mind woefully out of his depth.

In fairness, he was a very decent signing the year the first time they dropped to the Championship - very decent at that level.

You have to question why Brighton (I think) let him go at the stage they did.

If they don't beat Brighton they're fucked - the fans will get nasty.

The thing about Newcastle is that they've become a self-fulfilling prophecy - they're going down.

From that list I can see maybe 3 points at most....6 points by Novemeber would be a disaster and the FSW would have to go.

I reckon they will get 4 points msximum from those games.

Fingers crossed, must admit I'd laugh my tits off if Ashley sacked Rafa, no wins from the next two and he couldn't really complain, but the bedsheets would be out and the shop shouting would be taken to previously unseen levels

He won’t do that though. I reckon he’d be spiteful enough that he’ll keep Rafa on til the end of the season just to prove a point

I predict Null points

Even 7 points won't drag them far from the bottom...... but those run of games will be the acid test for them. I think they'll get 4 points by beating Brighton and a draw at Southampton and losing the next 3.

I'd question it as well considering he never played for Brighton.
