Incredible that some are getting excited as to what is another PR stunt.

This will run until February and then another window will be gone. It’s so obvious.

The Guardian article on the matter is pretty interesting. They argue that when news like this breaks, it’s to either smoke out interest or generate publicity.

i've always thought there's more potential at sunderland than newcastle anyway.
they have had their chance and blew it.
it's clear they can't sell many more tickets/shirts/sponsorship anyway and unless they get a huge amount of money invested like man city or chelsea they are always going to be where they are now at best in football terms. their only hope is for some super rich person who wants a new plaything.

with us, at the level we were sold/bought we have the potential for improvement in just about everything to increase revenue. the owners bought us for next to nothing relatively and if everything goes right for us (hopefully) they should be able to make a fair profit on what they paid if they ever sell.

I know the game is at Old Trafford, but the mags should be getting at least a point. Utd are a shambles and it’s debatable if Jose can turn things around. If Rafa parks the bus, he should receive abuse because Utd are there for the taking.

With regards to the takeover stuff; the same problems exist. Ashley wants back every penny and won’t sell until that happens. Ulimately that means any potential buyer will need 400m to buy, and then invest, within the club. At that price, there are better alternatives around

Your comments on United are accurate.

The mags have their own issues with not one player showing outstanding effort or ability.

The attack is blunt, the defense creaky (even with Lascelles) and the midfield lack creativity as well as bite.

It has all the makings of a snorefest

Remember that the magsowe Ashley 150+million. The daft fuckers think they owe nowt. When he leaves he wants his money back. Very similar to our own situation last year. If they go down they are cattled.
Had some players to sell for decent money when they went down last time. Not so much now, so potentially stuck with players on big wages in the championship. Sounds all too familiar to me, we’ve been there

With us failing under Ashley and he wants to sell can I ask why you bought Sunderland and not Newcastle? We have more of a chance to win trophies with you other investors, just curious why Sunderland? @stewartdonald3 #nufc #safc

I just wanted the biggest club in the North East so it was only ever going to be @SunderlandAFC . Simples!!!

Magic!!!

Good PR spin when in fact he could never afford them......
