Although their lack of spending and internal frictions did not show good signs, I did not realistically expect them to be this bad this season

The rafa delusion, including the constant arselicking by pundits, has really overestimated them yet again. Even before the game Dion Dublin said on the BBC commentary "They have to keep Rafa, he’s in the top ten managers in the world".

Yet, they are tanking. They have lost all of their home games this season. This was their most winnable fixture yet too.
Ya divnt undastand

Man United away next week. Another defeat.
The games so far where we probably had more realistic chances of winning, Cardiff, Palace and Liecester, we've looked poor. The other defeats are games where you'd expect a defeat and if you get anything it's a bonus.
Benitez getting it wrong to persist with this imo, at least have a go in the more winnable games.

The media's arselicking is a big factor here, just re-inforces the mag delusion that it's all Ashley's fault.

Good news really:lol:

The media say the worry for Newcastle if Benitez, in my opinion they are way more likely to go down if they keep him.

It is literally impossible to sack him due to the fans backing as well. Ashley knows if he does that, then there will be an uprising against him and they will boycott the club. Similarly, Rafa can’t resign due to the release fee clause in his contract.

Yet part of me feels Ashley has had enough and doing an Ellis Short. He doesn’t want to be there and has pulled the plug on investment in the bid to salvage his losses and make a profit. He has tried to sell it and failed, but everyone knows it is a poisoned chalice. Anyone can see the fans ludicrous expectations and their quickness to turn on anyone who won’t spend billions.

Not so sure about that now as I would have been in most other seasons. Both Uniteds are crap.
