The excuses are wearing thin now.

They will use any excuse to deflect any blame on Benitez. Deep down I think they are starting to realise that the world class manager they claim to have is actually passed it and one of their most negative managers in a long time.

They can’t and won’t admit they are wrong as they will look very foolish for licking his hoop for so long and putting him on the highest pedestal ever.

Didn’t Benitez release a statement along with the club at the start of the season saying he was happy with the squad? He knows his budget, he knows what he’s got to work with. He’s no different from any other manager at this time, get on with the task ahead.

But, it’s never his fault. He’ll be laughing all the way to the bank. For what it’s worth, I think they have enough to stay up. But if they do it’ll be down to a Benitez miracle.
