Its getting boring now tbh you lot will continue to defend benitez to the hilt no matter what happens even relegation even though the neutral fan and journalists are starting to question him a bit like his decision to get rid of mitrovich, merino and gayle and replace them with muto ki Rondon for example. His tactics his negative football even in games against Cardiff and forest.

Fwiw I think he's a good manager but that's it not amazing not world class I also think he will keep you up but I also think he is playing the fans against Ashley to take the heat of himself

i think rafa's nothing more than a cheque book manager, like a lot of them nowadays.

He was simply protecting his investment, but you could argue that we shouldn't have been relegated in the first place. Clearly he didn't learn his lessons the first time.

What about the biggest wage budget in third tier football history. I wonder who has that record?
It wasn't Ashley's fault you got relegated he invested loads that season and appointed a Messiah who couldnt beat Norwich,Villa or Sunderland in crucial relegation games.

Shipped out Daryl Murphy replaced him with Joselu
Shipped out Gayle for Rondon who scored 1 more PL goal in 8 more apps last season
Shipped out Mitrovic to sign Slimani on loan

Rafa
Funny how you never get a reply from the mags when you talk about benitez transfer activity all you get is whey he's had nowt to spend they don't like talking about the shite he's bought :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Would you say employing Steve McClaren as manager, giving him £80M to spend then appointing him on the board of directors was a good move?

Anybody with half a brain could see it was utterly ridiculous and would end in failure.

Are your sides splitting? Careful, you might hurt yourself.

I said at the time that he will not be as successful as Pardew yet Rafa is hero worshipped whilst Pardew was slaughtered.

Benitez has relegated Newcastle.

Got them promoted with a hefty warchest for that level.

Finished 10th which was a good season for newly promoted club.

Been knocked out of cup competitions by lower division sides.

Currently has them bottom 3 without a win playing very negative football.

Has bought prett poorly with what he’s had to spend.

If he wasn’t a ‘big name’ there is no way he’d be cut this much slack.

The other side of that coin is he got us promoted at the first attempt and established us as a top 10 PL team for a net spend of minus £20m.

Depends which way you look at it I suppose.
