most likely yeah . There is always a case for being very solid for the first half or 30 mins...but to try and do it for 90 mins requires fantastic discipline. I thought Newcastle were unlucky yesterday ....i looked like it was going to end up 0-0 prior to two questinable decisions .

It was probably too defensive but until the penalty there weren't too many clear cut chances for Chelsea so the plan (as defensive as it was) was working. f***ing awful to watch though but you don't get points solely for playing entertaining football.

so stats mean nothing, then he quotes a 'stat' to show rafa did a good job.

heres a stat for you -
Newcastle - 1 goal
Chelsea - 2 goals

Here's another interesting stat for him:

Jorginho completed an incredible 158 passes against Newcastle – that’s one every 34 seconds – while by himself he accounted for 15% of the entire possession in the game – the home side had just 18% of the ball total! He even completed more passes than the Magpies.

Leon Britton used to be better than Xavi iirc.

He'll be gone at the end of the season regardless so this point is moot but no, I wouldn't. 'Super Burnley' kept hold of Dyche, should he have been sacked?
I think sometimes when a manager takes you down there is a time when he should be kept. Reid did it with us, Dyche got one chance but I think if they did go down again that Dyche would be gone.

So is there any time you would want Rafa gone, relegation to League 1?

If hypothetically he stays, if we are mid-table in the championship in November 2019.

The suggestion that the fans aren't behind the team inside the stadium is crackers tbf. Are we not behind the team inside the stadium?
No idea.

Why are the media and shop shouters supporting poor Rafa, when 17 days ago, he clearly released this letter saying the squad had improved from last season?

Nothings changed in that squad, that is not down to benitez's use of it.

He choices the team, he leaves out labels and shelving, he chooses the formation, he chooses to give away possession to the opposition. He chose to allow Gayle and MetroCentre to leave, as he was of the opinion that Rondim and kamikaze are an upgrade. Every single thing is down to benitez

Is that so difficult to understand?

Well all I could hear yesterday was the Chelsea fans, so you're certainly not against them as that would involve having to make some noise.

Well obviously.

No idea.

That post, aye.

No point in getting into sensible discussion (well as sensible as a mag can get, lol) if you're coming from that angle.

The angle of reality and as Rafa likes FACT?

in what way is anything I posted wrong?

@Sima who selects the team?

Who chooses the style of play?

Who sent MetroCentre and Gayle on their way?

Who signed a letter 17 days ago, stating the squad is an improvement on the one that finished tenth?

Who chose to lie about Lascelles being injured?

Absolutely. We employed similar tactics against the very best sides when we were in the Prem. The Man City game s being the prime examples and where one time it worked completely.

The mags like to stand and shout outside Sports Direct shops and punch horses

Do you think that is the consensus amongst your lot? Obviously you haven't spoken to everyone but what do you think your lot think?

Very little blame is going onto the manager from what I have seen/who I have spoken to. Whether that shifts if we are in the bottom three at the turn of the year remains to be seen. I think the mood could change but there's more moving parts than completely blaming the manager for the teams failings and the limitations of the squad (I'm very sceptical about the statement put out earlier in the season fwiw).
