From an outsider’s perspective I feel that from the North East clubs, at Sunderland and Middlesbrough there’s much mutual appreciation from other clubs, but at Newcastle there’s little appreciation for or from other clubs.’

Mutual appreciation of what? Been consistently shite and never filling your grounds?
We are seen as been arrogant and cocky as we aren't like other shitty little clubs

I work around the country and believe me the general opinions on Sunderland are just constant relegation battles empty seats and a shithole of a place. I mention Newcastle and people say I've heard that's a class place and good nightlife I would like to go there.

Mention Sunderland and they just think shithole. Yet in this weird reality on here Sunderland is a metropolis and Newcastle is a landfill

One of first things he mentions is Newcastle as he knows it will get you all on side forever if he hates the mags

Imagine when Benitez took over if he was on about how he always hated Sunderland man. Wouldn't happen it would be small time and embarrassing.

Especially at if he lines up here Newcastle is the only decent place for culture and good nightlife as he's gonna get none of that in Sunderland!

so when working around the country people reference Sunderland as a football club (constant relegation battles) yet in referencing Newcastle they make no reference to the football team at all (nightlife and class place).......your words

Newcastle does have a better nightlife in my opinion, it is what it is, I wouldn't wear it as a badge of honour nor does it keep me awake at night

Exactly. I lived in a foreign neon metropolis once but I couldn't be arsed to compare it to Newcastle in depth on a rival's football message board, like. Two days he's been banging on about the same stuff on here. Sad and tedious.
