It must be time to parsnip this sh’t thread that has f’ck all to do with footie and everything to do with the typical “handbags at dawn” local rivalry.
 
Overheard the two Sunderland fans at work today talking in the smoking shelter. They didn't know I was approaching (sneaked out a fire exit so approached from behind the shelter) so I heard their conversation.
A: "happy we've been took over like but wish we were still in the premier league so could stream the games"
B: "aye hopefully we can get a couple of promotions and do as well as Newcastle"
A: "aye I'd give me right arm do what they've done"

At this point i stepped into view
Me: alreet lads?
A: aye canny
Me: happy with The Don?
B: aye we'll be above your lot in 2 seasons
A: you'll be down next season after Rafa leaves
Me: maybe. You never know.

I'm actually going to apologise for that, cheap stereotypical shot. For the record I really don't care whether there's 200 or 200,000 people there, I can't affect it. I go, I've had a season ticket for as long as I can remember, that's all I can do to affect the crowd - Newcastle have brilliant attendances, no doubt about it

I'm going to agree with your first 2 points and say it would be fantastic if the hatred was turned down.

But if you want to see where the hatred comes from, from our perspective?

Read Michael Martins twitter feed and tell me that the hatred comes from us exclusively.
And the *mag* website.

If that's your worldview why do you come on this forum and try to provoke an emotional reaction from people?

Surely a commensurate worldview would lead to you trolling thick NUFC supporters?

There is fuck all wrong if people don't turn up anyway, serve shit and you lise punters. Like I said I don't believe any fan or set of fans is any different to another, we are all the same.

Straw man arguement mate.
I never said that. I was merely pointing out that the irrational hatred comes from both sides to both sides.

And thankfully I've not actually come across real, irrational hatred more than a few times in my life.

I prefer to judge NUFC supporters by the mates I have at work than clowns on the Internet. I like to believe that the 'end of the world is nigh' people aren't really representative of the majority of both sets of fans.
