Makes you wonder what he might have achieved if he hadn’t been whinging about his transfer budget like a little bitch for most of the season.

If you’re such a great coach then get on and coach you fat knacker

To discuss Prem manager of the year? Thought it was about Pure Football.

For those interested the list is -
Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Sean Dyche, Roy Hodgson, Chris Hughton and Rafa Benitez.

You need two really. One for those with money and those without.
Dyche wins one for performing above expectation and Klopp the other for doing the most for creating exciting entertaining football

I wouldn't argue, Hodgson has done well but he has also had plenty of time to put it right, they always had the players not to finish in the bottom three, Rafa has done ok nothing more nothing less.

Whilst I agree I can also understand why he has made the shortlist. Not many newly promoted teams finish as comfortably as we have. If its solely PL then its Pep or Dyche.

Should be.. Dyche or Hughton. Will be Klopp or Guardiola.
Jaffa the hutt doesn’t rate a mention outside of Narnia, even though they are a massive clerb or so they think.

"Rafa" :rolleyes:

Since when was it a thing to refer to managers by their first names?

"Hey guys, does anyone on here think that Chris should have been given a chance next season? He was surely better than Si or David."

Cocks

Getting a newly promoted team in the top ten is a fantastic achievement, even more so when you are working under massive restrictions from the owner.

Dyche
Pep
Rafa

Top 3 in that order.

Rafa should be nowhere near that list, the other candidates including houghton, yes

Rafa deserves it for having no money and playing the entire season with Ashley’s tactics*

*except when they win then it’s all down to Lord Rafa

Genuinely don't understand this view but happy for someone to enlighten me, by way of comparison lets look at our 10th placed finsih under Bruce v Benitez this year

SAFC 10th, 47 points, net spend that season -£13 mill w 12 d 11 l 15 45 scored 56 conceded

NUFC 10th, 41 points, net spend this season £30.4 mill w 11 d 8 l 14 35 scored 42 conceded

Now NUFC have 3 games to go (watford, spurs & Chelsea) so not a full comparison so it can change but it ain't going to be far away......can't remember Bruce being mentioned on any manager of the year shortlists

Benitez has done the job he was asked to do i.e. got them up and kept them up but manager of the year.....sorry not for me
