I'd be surprised if he lasts the season. His stock is pretty high atm, the Newcastle loving media seem to be saying he's the latest messiah on Tyneside and the Mags are buying into it.

Ashley won't give him anywhere near the level he wants - he resigns and the Mags are all bedsheety and Ashley OOTY for a good few months.

honest mate im fine, i finally spoke to nick today the craic is Ellis wanted it done by the Thursday signed sealed etc,
however the valuation on the hotel the houses around roker park the charley hurley center and the freehold of the Aol by the consortium was millions away from Ellis's and he got fed up of waiting and looking silly so he cocked it

It would take more money than Ashley has to get them where the fans will be happy. Aint happening under Rafa.

And there lies one of the biggest problems which Sunderland fans warned Mag fans about having been stuck with players who don't want to move on for less money.
They wouldn't have it though

It's so easy to get caught up in a vicious circle. Buy players to get out of the league, pay decent wages but the problem is those players are on decent contracts and difficult to ship out. And as you say Bob, unless players leave it can all go tits up which is what's happening down the road

I cam remember saying this to mags at the time on here. Buy championship standard players on good money and contracts and you get stuck with them.

We've been through it and you could see it coming a mile off. Shame :lol:
