He’s won nothing with you though (other than the Championship) not sure the trophies he won years ago are transferable to your trophy cabinet.
So, tip the Allardcye vs Benitez arguement on its head, would Allardyce have done worse
He’s won a few trophies and managed big clubs in the past, that’s all they’re bothered about.

They think having a big name manager makes them relevant, whether he relegates them twice in three seasons or not.

Newcastle supporters claim they robbed the clubs blind for the likes of Sissoko and were glad to see the back of them.

Benitez, in the meantime, is making the likes of Lascelles, Shelve, Ritchie, etc look worse than they previously were.
Don't forget too, in the net spend excuse Benitez is given credit for selling sissoko, Townsend, gini, jamet...around 70m plus for managing them for 8/9 games? But gets no blame for the relegation.

I really struggle to understand this whole Allardyce would do better with this squad than Benítez? What is this based on exactly ? Benítez has won pretty much everything in the game, what has Allardyce ever won/ achieved? Slate Benítez by all means but it’s laughable comparing him to Allardyce.

Look at the table and forget about Benitez winning things historically with top clubs and players.
He has been relegated once from two tries at the bottom of a top league (could well be two fron three). Allardyce hasn't after numerous seasons there.

They trotted out the net spend this season line three times on bbc Newcastle tonight.

Someone then pointed out that they spent 115 million getting out of the championship and “ando” said that’s because Rafa thought the club was being taken over and he could buy better players.

This is going to be the crippler for them, when he goes they will get nothing for his signings.
Of course it will be Ashley’s fault for Benitzez buying players with no sell on value. Yet they’ve criticised Ashley for only allowing him to buy players with a sell on value.
They must be chuffed he wasn’t allowed to pay £16m for Rondon then.

I'm trying to work out how that doesn't factor but I'm at a loss.

Correct, they hate pards and McLaren but the players they bought they made good money on. Benitez signings will all lose money on apart from maybe the keeper.
They are blinded to any decent debate about football. I drink with them and no word of a lie 2 weeks ago they all said as a group they should be competing with man city.

Aye mine were choking like fuck on Saturday night. One of them even changed my name in front of me on his phone to “league one”

It’s brilliant

If there's one good thing to come out of this is that at least the next manager of Newcastle and future managers will get an easy ride from the Newcastle fans no matter how many defeats and piss poor negative performances on the pitch

They will remember the good old days under Rafa - "We were good then - this bloke isn't a patch on him."

Laughable that most clubs would press the alarm button, sack the manager and try another to avoid relegation.
Rafa is still preferred to attempt the rescue and he clearly isn’t motivated to turn it around.
I’m convinced Rafa wants the sack before he gets the second relegation on his CV.

There's Six Million reasons why he won't be sacked/walk.

Newcastle have made a worst start to this season than we did under McCarthy in 05/06 up to the same point. We had 4 points.

Benitez is underperforming massively.

And this is the real point.
Conveniently being ignored and using MA as a smokescreen.
But he's not fooled, I'm sure.
