It will be interesting to see what happens if they fail to beat Brighton and Southampton.

This weekend is pivotal for them.

There are a few teams stuck down there and most are playing okay in some games but can't score due to lack of a quality striker.

All of the bottom 4 or 5 have at least 2 games coming up where they'll be targeting maximum points but by the weekend of 15th December I fully expect one or two teams to be adrift.

I thank the Lord that my father was a staunch black and white, and brought me up the correct way.

If he could read the comments on here, he'd turn in his gravy.

Why bother coming on if you don't like the comments

We don't like the black and whites

What else do you expect ?

I honestly don’t mind ‘normal’ mags who support their team and who can hold a decent objective conversation, especially when they decide to do so on the interweb forum of their rivals.

You do all stink though. ;)

I'm a proud Geordie but I thank the Lord that my father was a staunch red and white and brought me up the right way.

If he would have seen the 6 in a row he would be laughing in his grave like we all are at you sad knackers.

2 leagues below you but still make us laugh

I was talking with a colleague who is a Notts County suppprter.

Him: “Ah so you’re a Mackem then?”
me: “No my family are from County Durham, I’m not a shipyard worker or a townie”.
Him: confused look on his pyatt.

I had to explain that he could upset a Geordie safc fan by calling them a Mackem.

It would be a drab place without posters from other clubs.

As long as they’re not wind up merchants then we should tolerate all points of view.

Absolute nonsense, why would it be drab?

The Mags add very little imo.

There are plenty of Sunderland people giving the 'Newcastle' point of view as well as humour, originality and endless useful information.

Serious question mate, what is the best thing the Mags offer to this forum and why are Sunderland supporters drab in your opinion?

You have totally misunderstood my post, I never said that safc fans are drab.

That was my attempt at "humour".

Apologies if you didn't like it, or perhaps it went over your head?
When you see the nick of some of the mags we get on here you can forgive him for being less than welcoming.

They pretty clearly have to win on Saturday. But Brighton are a terrible away team. I think they might have been the worst away team in the league last season or nearly that, and they are not much better away from home better this year .

If the waiter cuts out the politics and sends his team out to win games, they should gather a good few points in the next few weeks. Pity help them if they don't, as if they get significantly stuck behind the pack I wouldn't fancy their chances in drawing their way to safety.
