Talksport seem to have and agenda to push him for World Cup squad, as he is getting a mention every other day.

Does anyone think he should go?

IMO I would say no, he is very poor defensively if he was to be playing in a holding midfield role alongside Henderson/Dier. Not consistent enough. Liability at times both with his temperament and work rate. Don't think he would fit into any system unless it involved dropping Kane for Vardy, which isn't going to happen

why would yo need two players in a holding role
 
He’s a good footballer. His temperament is seemingly very iffy. Him and Alli in the squad could be costly
 
His game requires time on the ball, which he would get at international level. However he also needs good running and movement ahead of him, which we don't have much of. Also he likes to go back to front, usually with long passes to someone running in behind and at international level teams sit deeper so you never really see it often.

Conclusion is he would be a pointless addition.
 
I actually think he should be in there. Useful for the last 20 minutes if we're chasing the game. He can pick a forward pass nicely.

When international teams with a lead sit back meaning no space in behind? I heard Murphy say the exact same thing as you on MoTD at the weekend and I just burst out laughing :lol:

Is his temperament that bad? 2 yellows, 1 red and a two booking sending off isnt that bad this season. Prob more like Cattermole effect with reputation taking over
 
He can certainly pass a football and if we're looking for something different, bringing him on with Vardy running in behind would be an option.

I'd have concerns about his attitude and temperament though. You need a harmonious camp - has he got the right character to be away with the group for a prolonged period of time and not cause any issues? There seems to have been question marks about his attitude wherever he's been.
