the Whole ground is absolutely disgusting and in a terrible state of neglect, as someone has said it looks like a 1970s abandoned warehouse in places and is starting to resemble Elland Rd. What an utter s*** hole the fat penny pinching c*** is turning it into, modern stadiums should be vibrant clean, inviting and appealing, Ive done the tour of Cowboys stadium in Dallas a few times and in the entrance way Jerry Jones has got marbled floor with this mineral that can only be found in one area of the states glistening in the floor ( this mineral gives out the same kind of blue as Cowboys blue) this cost him 3 million dollars to install. You see stadiums like that ran and operated by people with pride and who care about the product they own then you see ours which is morphing into a sports direct warehouse

Anyone got any novichok for Ashley

Built buy a scrap metal dealer...bit clagged on here bit over there.

Sir Bob made his money in interior design.

You can certianly see that when you compare the SOL and Hotch Potch.

Hopefully we will get to a position in the future when we need to take the SOL to 65,000. It would then be truely magnificent.

At the risk of being branded a Mag or worse, I was actually there last Tuesday with work and had a tour round ground, changing rooms, dug outs etc and I was thinking what a great stadium it looked.

TIN HAT ON
Been to Hotch Potch a lot. A lot of seats have shocking views and the pitch isnt even level!

They somehow fail to see the link between that kind of comment and the total lack of interest from prospective buyers
Given the disgusting abuse Ashley has received and given the fact he had to pay a fortune just to keep the doors open when he first bought it not to mention the good job he has done with them....I hope when he does sell it its not to big money. Ashley owes that lot nothing.

I know we hate the mags etc but I do struggle with siding with Ashley over genuine football fans of like it or not a club that is important to the community just like ours. He's a f***ing disgrace and letting the stadium get ran down is just another example of a rich greedy bastard sticking 2 fingers up at working class folk.

They’re twisting like fuck about the state of the stadium but if Ashley turned round and said he was knocking it down to put a new modern ground in its place, they’d lose their minds.

By saying that you are acknowledging that we have minds to lose mind .....

What would you lot do if Ashley sold up, bought Sunderland and brought Rafa with him...Just a thought.

Dont be daft. By all accounts he had to chuck £250m in to keep the doors open in 2007 when he bought it - you can argue his daft fault for not doing due dilligence I guess.

Hall and Shepherd had everything built on sand...even leasing the stands back...they punched well above their weight on the back of bank loans and this is what has given the 1992ers there inflated egos that they are better than not only us but the vast vast majority of clubs in this country.

Ashley is a businessman first and formost he wants his money back and given the death threats to him and his family and now they are talking of Novochock I hope he strings them out for many years to come.

I repeat - he's a Durham mag. Most mags hate the fuckers. They are predominantly the one's that make the mags a laughing stock across the country - just look at the make up of them on here. We actually owe John Hall a big thank you for outing all the tedious useless arseholes and taking them across the river.

I particularly like the ones who change their accent on the train going North.

I know a kid from Washi that does the change accent thing. It’s perhaps the most tragic thing I’ve ever witnessed

:) :) :)

As and when and hopefully sooner rather than later we can take the SOL to 65,000 or possibly 73,000. You are pretty much stuck with your lop sided carbunkle. :)

Plus side is though you are not far from the city centre so you dont have far to walk after you have bothered the shop windows.

Downside is which city centre it is not far from.
