There’s no way Shearer goes for less than Shevchenko if they are both at the level they were when they were transferred adjusted for today.

I can remember the pre '92 days when you signed George Riley and Tony Cunningham

And Socrates. I remember Rambo Reilly and Tony Cunningham who Gazza booked a sunbed for.

Would be interesting to see the same table adjusted to from 2007.
The bulk of that adjusted for inflation figure would be from pre ashley era, as demonstrated by the signing of Shearer being adjusted to £125m, and owen for £76m. Also under Shepherd/Hall there was the signing, within a year or two either side of the Shearer deal was the signing of Ferdinand for £6m, asprilla £7.5m, Duncan Ferguson £8m, which aren't mentioned in the list of players on there.
Ferdinand joining Newcastle for £6m in June 95 is not mentioned in the list, but Andy Cole joining Man United 6 month earlier is in at £91m. In summer 1997 Ferdinand joined Spurs for £6m and that transfer makes the list.
Also in February 96, Newcastle paid 7.5m for Asprilla which also doesn't make the list but could be assumed it would be around the £65m mark if Shearer goes in at £125m 5 months later

He's scored more in the Prem than your whole team ye clown......nee wonder the Fat Spaneesh has got ye lot lapping it up.

10m on a reserve Japanese....nee wonder the Fat Cockney will give him nee more.....
 Christ alive you're not even subtle any more. Nobody can be this stupid and yet to pretend to be, for what, the benefit of these other clowns? Grown men who'd rather cling to their partisan bias so tightly it forces them to conjure nonsense, than have an actual adult conversation? Is it not a bit daft? I mean I am thoroughly enjoying the fact your club is in the third tier of English football, but I wouldn't be so childish as to rearrange reality in an attempt dismiss your chances of promotion, defend previous owners/managers or suggest that your current manager isn't up to the job. It's just baffling to me.

Rivalry is one thing, but the resolute adherence to an obviously flawed party line is bewildering. It's like Brexiteers who ignore all the evidence that Brexit is, and will be, a shitshow for this country because they "won" that f***ing silly referendum.

Murphy was signed to play a key role from the off hes just not good enough dont give me any of this "for the future shite" hes 23 not 17
Prove it.

Really? Which ones?
Lascelles, Dummett, Diame, Perez, Yedlin, off the top of my head.

I mean, I know that you'll immediately dismiss them because they're not even good Premier Leagues players at the moment, but it's frankly absurd to suggest that they're not better than they were when we signed them.
