The Arsenal game is live on Sky.

And showing that without Sky's permission would also be illegal. Given that they don't sell one-off rights (pubs have to sign up for a season), that would be just as much a copyright breach as showing a stream.

has there ever in the history of football been a manager leaving party/wake? ever?

Possibly when Matt Busby or Alex Ferguson retired. But those were deserved tributes.

Unless im missing something here, didnt ashley offer god a new contract and he legged it for the big bucks....
Shhh, facts confuse the poor sods :)

You've automatically assumed the necessary arrangements wouldn't be made with Sky to show it. Whether that's taking out the minimum subscription allowed (a season as you suggest) or not.

So why are you all going on as if anyone actually gives a fuck about him or his shit song?

We're discussing it because the local Newcastle newspaper is reporting it and has called his previous song "Stay Senor" amazing.

Your newspaper is taking it seriously, the Shark bar is taking it seriously, the punters who spend money there will be.

It appears plenty of you lot "give a fuck".

"Stay Senor"

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

And you wonder why people take the piss.

There was a big screen up in Durham yesterday to cover the cricket I believe, so it must be possible. I'm guessing that the companies that hire big screens pay a phenomenal amount for the year which would be reflected in the price of hire

Was that before or after the boycoutt that they boycoutted because results took a turn for the better? So many boycoutts it’s hard to keep track.

Don't know mate, I just saw some mags on twitter talking about it yesterday.
Just shows the "ifrafagoeswego" crap is only followed by twenty something hipsters and not mainstream fans.

You're assuming Sky would give permission. If Newcastle made noises to Sky about it, Sky would almost certainly come down on the club's side. They aren't going to ruffle feathers for the sake of the cost of a pub licence. Given that clubs have problems arranging beambacks of away games (the home club has to agree to it - we couldn't do one for Accrington way because the chairman was a tit about it). If it boils down to NUFC needing to give permission, do you really think they'd give it?

No. None of this was mentioned in your opening gambit, btw. You only mentioned ‘Sky’s permission’.

Although I wouldn’t put it entirely past the company doing it solely for the money.

There have been screens all over the place. Almost certainly part of the rights packages sold by Cricket World Cup - it's exactly the same as the World Cup fan zones.

That was a one line reply to the picture.

Bang-on. Not only only have you got the usual dafties but an MP, local businesses and even the council are getting involved in this highly embarrassing teenage girl behaviour.
A Manager who didn't do anything out of the ordinary has left, nothing else. They seriously need to take a step back and realise what they're going on like.

The whole f***ing country will be laughing at them.

Serious question Sima. Are you not at all cringing, with the way people are going on?

Dunno if SEB as cant be arsed to read the threads but the mag fans groups have cancelled all flags displays until the club is sold.......Seems they are starting to get it, only thing that will get Ashley gone is what got Short gone, 20,000 fans no longer turning up, its amazing how it focuses the mind.

Just sit back, light a fat cigar and enjoy watching the daft bastards make complete arses of themselves
