Had a good debate on here a month back as to what it says about the current state of the premier league that the 3 highest points totals in top flight history have occurred in the last 2 seasons. Some argued it’s because those at the top are so good but I argued the quality at the bottom of the league is as bad as it’s been in a long time. Brighton were horrendous for half a season yet still stayed up.

i garuntee all of them will put up a better season than safc did when we were most recently there- we stank the thing out for a decade..burnley have at least achieved something in that league..
