His last 2 appointments have ended up with the players basically refusing to play for him, can you imagine the scenes if the same thing happened to the mags? There would be riots in the toon centre

Nah. They'd change their tune immediately. New owners supercedes Rafa for them in my opinion as it feeds their egos more.

That being said, Mike Ashley is still waiting for an actual offer from these Arabs apparently.

Takeover seems a couple of weeks off (at least) without an offer being made yet.
 
Jose will have more ambition than Rafa.

I’ve said it before, I hope Rafa stays. For a bloke that only needs to win 10 games a season and put no effort in the cups, it’s not exactly a hard job.
 
Given the Arabs wealth is apparently not especially huge can’t imagine they could provide the type of money that Mourinho would want or need
