..... this league, despite their massive spending.

That's now 2 defeats in 3 games, 4 in the last 8, plus another in the cup if I'm correct.

They have Brighton, Huddersfield, Reading & Sheff Wed to play away ...... 4 of the top 6.

They should still go up but a few more defeats could be funny ;)

Hmmmm.

The 2 bald fellows syndrome.

Money isn't everything, Villa spent similar and they are mid-table.

We've got exactly the same amount of points as we had in 2009-10 at this point so I'm not too concerned on promotion yet. Our over-reliance on Shelvey is a massive concern however.

Not when it is wasted on utter shite. See our predicament as solid proof

I think that the bastards have too many points to win another relegation trophy, they must be gutted

 2 squads aren't enough

I hope they do buy more. It's hard to shift the deadwood once they're up and I'm presuming they all have a wage raise bonus on promotion with long contracts.

Plus finishing second doesn't get you much. Ask Steve Bruce when we beat brum to the title

There's a big gap between them and 3rd like

Yeah thec3rd team have a game in hand tho I think. If I remember correctly if thec3rd team win it. They are 3/4 points behind them. I think

Just said on another thread that there's always a team hits decent form in the second half of the season, I fancy it to be Leeds. If the mags drop a few more points and someone else gains ground, I can see the waiter mopping the sweat from his brow.
They're home and hosed man. Even if Brighton overtake them there's not another team will get near them.

My neighbours all tell me this.

On the radio back from the match I heard...

"Wu should be beaten teams like Blackburn 5-0"

"Refs give us nowt"

"We are every teams cup final"

"Colback is rubbish"

"Wull still walk this league"

Not one caller had any blame for Rafa.

They were dominant today but are faltering massively. Never really looked like scoring despite their dominance. Will probably still be comfortable like but you have to wonder about what their team will look like in the premier.

I haven't watched you this season so i dont know, but is he a big player for you lot then? I'm shocked at how many goals Gayle has scored, but he has found his level i suppose. Ritchie always seemed a canny player, but the wheels do seem to have come off the spanish rollercoaster at the minute. Can't see you not finishing top 2, but it get's a bit more squeaky bum time when the points lead dwindles

Unfortunate today. We've had some major things go against us and some teams have been very fortunate.

I just wish we had a team to shout over them from.
Currently we are shambles.
Cant dress it up.

I'm dressing nothing up.

You're assuming I'm comparing Newcastle to Sunderland which I'm not.

The thread is specifically about Newcastle and their current form in the 2nd division.

That doesn't get any better if you compare it to Sunderland.
