Rohit Paudel (16 yrs 154 days) of Nepal is now the youngest male player to score 50 in an international game.

The previous record holder was Tendulkar, who scored a test 50 aged 16 years 213 days. The youngest player to score an ODI 50 was Afridi, who got there aged 16 years 217 days

Poudel scored 55 off 57 as Nepal beat UAE in yesterday’s game in Dubai

50 irrelevant bonus for identifying the youngest female player to score an international 50

And the answer is..

Johmari Logtenburg, who scored a 50 on her test debut for SA aged 14 years and 166 days.

Apparently quite the all-round athlete. Represented SA in table tennis aged 12, cricket at 14. Gave up cricket for golf aged 19 (because no money in women’s cricket) and made SA women’s team before being diagnosed with a career-ending bone disorder
