New Year Honours: Government apologises after addresses published

The Cabinet Office says it is "looking into" how addresses of New Year Honour recipients were published online.

Whatever your political persuasion, one used to feel that whoever was in power, the government used to be run at least professionally by the civil service. Now as in so many other walks of life, you feel like everyone is just winging it, no pride in doing things properly. If that's the case in the civil service we're all fucked.

This was not hard to get right and not hard to get wrong, but not getting it wrong every single time is the whole point.
