New World Order

Yosemite Sam

Moeen Ali this winter is set to be the first player to really test out the modern day cricketing calendar. He has just been announced as a marquee player in the new UAE Premier League scheduled for Jan/Feb, whilst also expected to appear in the RSA Premier League scheduled for January/February. The final caveat to this being that England play a white ball series in South Africa in January/February.

So what gives? Something has to and something will because the smaller cricketing nations will not survive without generating income through franchise cricket, whether we agree with it or not.
I can really see this cricket World Cup being potentially the final one, with nations then given windows to play Test Matches and IT20’s with 50 over cricket merely becoming a memory for us all
