One of my gfriends caught the new Chinese Variant ,didn't last long. Then went and caught it again.Typical Chinese,always need another straight away.

Panic-inducing headline followed by the 'meh' message in much smaller typeface.

Write about it if it's more dangerous, otherwise don't bother.

I'd love to see how they'd report a variant that turned out to be weaker and less dangerous - probably get a mention in a sidebar on the cookery pages or something like that.

Obviously only the opinion of one person, but the article suggests there’s no need for anything like that.

"Could there be a virus that emerges that not only escapes vaccines very well, but also transmits well and causes disease in fully immune people? It's not looking likely," Prof Ball said.
"I'm reassured in truth, I don't think things are too bad."
