New Stadium Measures

Let's hope our kids aren't killed while we trial it and wait to see how the new training, that is better than the last training, thatvwas better than the training before that, works out.
I'm quite confident we won't have any problems from the QPR fans. Majority of fans come up and behave, let's see how it goes. There hasn't been one kid killed yet, fingers crossed that continues

"What are the Club doing to prevent pyrotechnics from being discharged in the Roker End?

Pyrotechnic detection dogs will be deployed in the Roker End and enhanced CCTV coverage is now in place, which will allow to better identify those persons responsible"

It was a chaos against Coventry with the amount of kids that managed to get into the Roker End. At times I felt unsafe due to how many were crammed in at the top of the stand. It got so bad that the stairway was packed full which made it near impossible to enter or leave.

The club needs to address this quickly before a bad accident happens.

They had pyro dogs for Coventry and CCTV doesnt stop people throwing things.

I stupidly got a season ticket up there. I only lasted til half time v Coventry. Went and sat in a spare seat elsewhere for 2nd half. Standing in the aisles and 3 or 4 to a seat. Needs sorting like.

I'm changing my season ticket seat like

They're not getting one at all seemingly, thats the worrying thing.
Aren't they? They've said that other measures are in review and further changes should be expected. Again, they aren't moving the away fans till summer 2023 at the earliest and they can't just throw a net up in a few days. I dunno what more they can do other than training. Maybe an increased police presence? It's not gonna satisfy people who have had bad recent experience, understandably, but I don't know how much more the club could have practically achieved in 12 days.

And in the meantime we will trial this great new flawless training nobody ever thought to provide prior which is reality will be a 5 min brief in the huddle two hours before kick off tomorrow.

Club has had years to solve this problem as well by the way. Let's not pretend 2 weeks ago came as a surprise.

I agree the club are gambling on QPR not throwing things. As they gambled on Coventry.

It's to stop people in the north stand, who don't feel safe, moving to that end.
The majority of people moving and blocking the rows and aisles in the South Stand and SWC are not moving because they don't feel safe. Its loads of young lads who couldn't care less. The steps in the 2nd half at the back of the SWC against Doncaster (i think) were a nightmare. People coming back up from the concourse after half time and having to shift people from their seats etc.

Tomorow there will be people in the north moving seats though and they know it.

People migrate from South to North as well but only south is having that restricted. Presumably they aren't stopping south stand to move anywhere else at half time if we are kicking towards north second half?

I don’t blame you I was thinking about moving at half time as well. If things don’t get any better, I’m gonna move back to the East Stand.

More action against home fans than the away. Our off field running is an absolute joke.
Serious question -and apologies if seb
Does our security team meet the fans groups ? If so surely they can all help one another
Did hear a rumour not sure if on here ? That kids were bringing in the pyros stuffed down their fronts which obv makes it difficult for those searching ?
Bit like cops -if they search a kid ( public outrage /if they dint and someone gets injured which could’ve me as I sit in north stand we ( we would complain )
Not sure what answer is as I’m not up on search laws

As a kid standing in the Fulwell End in the 1970s, I always went round to the kids’ enclosure in the Roker End for the last 15 minutes of the match if we were attacking the Roker End.
