It was a UEFA rule and PL clubs were encouraged to conform in case of European qualification. The PL have backed off now.

Someone at Adidas will be pissing themselves they got rid of their dud template on us.

Thanks for the clarification. So we've basically done it under no pressure and for no apparent reason? Nice one.

I think if it was striped on both sides much more people would like it.
 
I quite like it. Especially the way the adidas stripes tie in on the shoulders.

The back is a bit of a dud, but if needs must then we're a bit stuck.

First time I've clapped eyes on it tonight and you are right, Sir. It's an absolute plight. Stripes are far too narrow. What were they thinking?

Could be worse though! We could be 4 weeks into the close season with no manager, no direction and an executive board who seem hell bent on running SAFC like it's a f***ing comedy club....

Probably be the 1st one I don't buy. It's awful

(I might still get it at the end of the season when it's only a fiver, just to add to the collection)

I didn't mind that one. Thought the one after that was probably our worst ever. But that one seems fairly popular on here.

Looks more like their 1998 one. But I think that's just because they had slightly thinner stripes (not as thin as ours like).

I love it, and the away one. If you have any you don't like in a large I'll happily relieve them of you :lol:

I was going to get the one I posted earlier when I was looking for the shirt in the season I was born but didn't fancy it, was gutted when I saw the one after.
