Its a bag of shite right up there with the Le Coq Sportif pin stripe. Its not a Sunderland shirt.
This all red back is a shocker as well.
Every time we play away from home we are going to have to use the away kit.
Who are these clubs with storied history who mess about with their shirts?
 

Is the old Ship badge free from copyright now?

Be interesting if ALS or similar produced a rival shirt launch. Maybe some of the proceeds to charity etc

Some where in there you use Sunday League side. That is exactly what we are run like a Sunday League side and we now have the shit shirt to match our status.

I'm pretty sure adidas present a number of designs and the club select their favourite.

Personally I'm not bothered about the slogan. I think a shirt sells itself. Some will buy it regardless, others will buy it because it's different. I'll bet you find the majority of fans complaining about it wouldn't have bought the strip had they liked it. They just enjoy complaining because it's their default mode.

Personally, I don't like the kit, I don't ever buy them for myself as I get no wear out of them, but I'll still be buying it for my littluns. It's more the campaign that irks me

I don't think the ship badge will ever be free from copyright.

Barcelona have had thin stripes, fat stripes, halves, hoops and changed the colour of their shorts all in the past decade. I'd be happy to see Safc do all of that. Alternate between a traditional kit and one that's a departure. Far better than grafting black and gold panels onto the arm pits.

As you say, we don't know which players will be here this season so it wouldn't make sense seeing Defoe, Borini and Khazri trotting around in it. It would only help but further antagonise the fans.

I'm not pleased with our situation, but it seems the club can't do anything without being criticised at the moment. The way some have reacted to the strip is crazy.



Real Madrid and Juventus have both had pink strips mate. Their fans won't have gone on like absolute twonks about it I'll bet.



Some like the strip. I doing unsually buy one but I think I will this time just for knocking about in around the house/having a kickabout.

Our usual launch over recent years has been a very slight variation on the previous years strip, stuck up on the website and available in the club shops from xxx date.

Like this years or not, some thought has gone into it. The launch at Ashbrooke is different and fair play for getting local lads involved, I bet they're buzzing to be involved and I'd hate nothing more than someone like Rodwell's smiling chops modelling it knowing he has let us down massively this season and will be picking up 70k a week in the championship. The players who have done well this year are likely to leave, so the club can't win either way and have gone for a different approach.

As I said before, in 10 - 15 yrs time I would bet that people will remember this strip more than the past 5 yrs, or even the last 10 since we came back up really, none have really stood out and have typically been the standard design for whichever supplier we have used. I am more likely to buy this one compared to them and even if you don't like it, its only a strip man FFS :lol: if people are so pissed off about it, my advice would be to get off the internet and don't let it spoil your sunday.

Howay fella ! Watch ye divnt fall of that high horse of yours ,the refined air is geting to you..You do realise this is a fan site dont you?.........some folk are proud of their club and look to buy the club colours every year!That strip says to me that the club yet again has taken us for granted and couldnt be bothered to garner the supporters input and they have gone for the cheapest option again from some sort of proto model .....its not the strip itself that bothers me( but it is shite) its the thinking or lack of thinking behind it..........and a portent of things to come where the club does things at arms length as they appear to be outsoucing everthing to do with the club so i guess there was no one at the club to scrutinise the creation of our new kit.............We play in red and white stripes and 50 % of the strip contains no stripes...its an adapted of the peg mish mash of an old sheffield united top....fekking hidious and cheap an not a top to be proud of!

Isn't that the hole point in having an away kit I bet you would be missed off if you bought an away kit and we only used it once?
