New Shirt

That shirt is a f***ing abomination how the fuck do you make such an utter clusterfuck of such what would assume is a fairly simple design.
 
I don't like it but understand why the back is all one colour. It's a new premier league regulation this year and at the time the shirt was planned/designed we were a premier league club so the club/adidas are hardly going to pay to design/make a second one incase we got relegated.
 
I think there will be quite a few left on the shelve at the store.. Isn't that twice now that Adidas have fecked up with the design? it an abominations....
 
I'm not convinced, but at least they've tried something different. Makes no odds to me though, I'm well past buying footie tops, both age and girth!
The only thing I can't quite reconcile is the hatred of the Le Coq Sportif pin stripe effort. In much the same way as this new one is being slated, that was too. However, I wish I had a box or two of the LCS shirt. If any Sunderland shirt has a decent residual value, it's that one. Most of the formulaic red and white kits are worth buttons. I'm sure that the amount of them out there will play a part in that, but the prices the LCS can achieve suggests that they aren't as universally hated as some would have us believe. I've got a sneaking suspicion that this new kit will go a similar way.
